Meet Kaitlin
As a working mom who raised two young kids in a pandemic, hobbies have felt so far out of my reach, it wasn’t even funny. Time to pursue something just for fun, when I barely had time to shower? Hilarious.
But in 2023, both of my kids were off to school, and then my main career — scripted TV development — suddenly wasn’t keeping me so busy when the WGA and SAG strikes went into effect. And for the first time in a long time, I had time to pursue the passion for photography that I’d had since I took a photography class at my beloved summer camp.
While the days of my afternoons spent in the cool of the camp’s basement darkroom have long since passed, my interest in capturing soulful, personal photos has grown even stronger. In capturing the spirits of my two young girls on my camera, I’ve realized that in some small way, I have the ability to freeze time with them and make all of these precious moments feel just a little less fleeting.
And while photography isn’t my primary career, it goes hand in hand with everything I’ve learned as a TV development executive. In all facets of my career, I am a storyteller, using a visual medium to capture and evoke emotion.
I’m drawn to photography that feels personal and soulful, taking in both the small moments and the beauty of the world around us. I love not only capturing, but creating memories. I gravitate toward rich colors and bold feelings that lean into the intensity of life, particularly with children.
I specialize in family, child and couple portraits; candid lifestyle moments; maternity; engagement photos; and headshots (theatrical, commercial and business). But whatever it is that you’re interested in capturing, I’m interested in capturing it with you.
